POPPETS® Chance to Win a trip to Hollywood (the “Promotion”)
  1. Promotion start date
    1. The Promotion will start at 00.00 on 12 May 2025.
  2. Promotion closing date
    1. The Promotion will close at 23.59 on 29 August 2025.
  3. How to participate in the Promotion
    1. To enter the Promotion each entrant (an “Entrant” and collectively “Entrants”) must:
      1. purchase either a 39g carton of toffee POPPETS® or a 40g carton of mint POPPETS® from a participating retailer either in-store or online (each of the toffee POPPETS® and the mint POPPETS® is a “Promotion Product”) while stocks last;
      2. visit the Promotion website located at www.winwithpoppets.co.uk (the “Promotion Website”) by typing the Promotion Website URL into the Entrant’s web browser;
      3. complete the online entry form by:
        1. inputting the Entrant’s full name and email address;
        2. confirming (using dropdown lists) where the Promotion Product was purchased and which Promotion Product was purchased; and
        3. correctly inputting the last three (3) digits of the Promotion Product barcode.
      4. tick a box to confirm that they are aged over 18 at the entry gate on the Website;
      5. confirm that they have read and accept the terms and conditions (“Promotion T&Cs”) and the Promoter’s privacy notice; and
      6. tick a box to confirm that they are happy to enter the Promotion.
    2. For the avoidance of doubt, each day during the Promotion period specified in clauses 1.1 and 2.1 (the “Promotion Period”), an Entrant can submit one (1) entry for each flavour of the Promotion Product , being a maximum of two (2) entries per Entrant per day. Please note that entries do not roll from one day to the next day, therefore the actions set out in clause 3.1 must be repeated for each day that an Entrant wishes to enter the Promotion.
    3. To claim the Prize (as defined in clause 4.1) proof of purchase will be required. Therefore, an Entrant should retain their Promotion Product packaging and receipt for the Promotion Product showing the date of purchase of the Promotion Product during the Promotion Period which must be dated prior to the date of entry into the Promotion.
    4. In the event that the email address provided by an Entrant is incorrect or incomplete or becomes inaccessible during the Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right to invalidate the entry.
    5. There is no free-entry route for the Promotion.
    6. It is the responsibility of the Entrant to provide correct, up-to-date details when entering the Promotion and on Prize acceptance. The Promoter shall not be held responsible or liable for the Prize winner failing to supply accurate information which affects their acceptance and/or receipt of the Prize.
    7. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify incorrect, incomplete, altered or illegible entries. Junk filters and/or IT difficulties may affect email delivery or receipt or participation in this Promotion. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for this. The Promoter has no control over internet or communication networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter will not be held liable to any Entrant for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, user error and any network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent an Entrant’s entry into the Promotion. Proof of submission or sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery or receipt.
    8. Please note that whilst the Promoter wants to encourage Entrants to participate in and enjoy the benefits of the Promotion, the Promoter believes in responsible consumption of its products. No person should purchase more Promotion Products than they can reasonably and responsibly consume just to participate in the Promotion.
    9. If an Entrant encounters a technical problem with the Promotion Website when entering the Promotion, please notify the Promoter at info@winwithpoppets.co.uk.
  4. Promotion Prize
    1. Subject to clause 7 below, the prize is a trip to Hollywood, Los Angeles, USA for two (2) people which, subject to availability, travel and visa requirements, at the time of booking, will include:
        • return standard class direct flights (including taxes and one checked-in item of hold baggage per person) from the Prize winner’s nearest connecting airport in the United Kingdom (this may not be the Prize winner’s nearest departure or return airport) to Los Angeles, USA (excluding the 2025 Christmas holiday period being 18th December 2025 – 5th January 2026 (inclusive) ), Valentine’s day/weekend being 13th February 2026 – 16th February 2026 (inclusive), Easter weekend being 3rd April 2026 – 6th April 2026 (inclusive) and all other Public and Bank Holiday weekends in the United Kingdom being 2nd May 2026 – 4th May 2026, 23rd May 2026 – 25th May 2026, 28th August 2026 – 31st August 2026 (inclusive);
        • return private airport transfers in Los Angeles, USA (from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport);
        • seven (7) nights’ hotel accommodation four star (4*) in Los Angeles, USA based on sharing a double room and bed and breakfast only. A twin room may be requested but cannot be guaranteed by the Promoter (as defined in clause 8.1).
        • two (2) general admission tickets to Universal Studios Los Angeles, USA. This will include access to shows, rides and attractions;
        • a thirty-five (35) minute private helicopter tour for two (2) people over the Hollywood skyline, over sights such as Hollywood, Sunset Boulevard and the Hollywood Sign. For safety reasons, the helicopter cannot accommodate any passenger weighing more than three hundred (300) pounds (one hundred and thirty-six (136) kilograms)). If however, the Prize winner or their guest weighs over two hundred and fifty (250) pounds (one hundred and thirteen (113) kilograms), the Prize winner must contact the tour operator in advance of their booking;
        • a pre-paid lunch for two (2) for a US dollar equivalent value to fifty pounds (£50) Sterling in total at the world famous In ‘N Out Burger restaurant;
        • a full day ‘Iconic Site Tour’ of Hollywood, from Venice Beach to the Sunset Strip (this tour will be for a duration of approximately seven (7) hours and include hotel pick-up and drop-off) and bottled water but not food;
        • a pre-paid dinner for two (2) for a US dollar equivalent value to two hundred pounds (£200) Sterling in total at Musso Frank & Grill, Hollywood’s oldest restaurant and Charlie Chaplin’s favourite;
        • five hundred US dollars ($500) spending money for use during the holiday which will be paid at least ten (10) days prior to the holiday by the Promoter into the Prize winner’s nominated UK bank account via BACs transfer. An email with a link to a GDPR secure platform will be sent to the Prize winner to provide their UK bank details as detailed in clause 6.7; and
        • fully comprehensive travel insurance per traveller up to the age of seventy nine (79) years old but it will not cover any pre-existing medical conditions of the Prize winner and/or their guest. It is the Prize winner’s and their guest’s responsibility to ensure that they have all the necessary travel insurance in place prior to their departure to enjoy the Prize. The Promoter will accept no liability for this, (collectively the “Prize”).
    2. There is one (1) Prize available to win.
    3. The Prize winner’s guest must be aged over eighteen (18).
    4. Once any element of the Prize is confirmed as booked, it cannot be changed by the Prize winner.
    5. Each element of the Prize must be redeemed within twelve (12) months of the date of the email notifying the Prize winner that they have won the Prize under clause 6.3.
    6. If all elements or any element of the Prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute all elements or the relevant element of the Prize with a similar prize of equal or greater value.
    7. The Prize winner and their guest shall be responsible for having a permanent and valid passport and must be able to comply with any other visa or immigration requirements and any related expenses not expressly covered in these Promotion T&Cs.
  5. Promotion entry restrictions
    1. Internet access required to enter.
    2. To enter the Promotion, an Entrant must be aged eighteen (18) or over. As noted above, the Promotion Website will include an age-entry gate where an Entrant will need to confirm they are aged over eighteen (18) to enter. The Prize winner will also be asked to provide ID for age-verification purposes for their prize to be fulfilled (see clause 6.4).
    3. Subject to clause 5.5, the Promotion will be open to United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland) residents only.
    4. One (1) entry per flavour of the Promotion Product per Entrant per day into the Promotion is permitted (the functionality of the Promotion Website will allow the Promoter to control this), being a maximum of two (2) entries per Entrant per day (one entry for each POPPETS® flavour) during the Promotion Period. Any Entrant who attempts to circumvent this clause 5.4 by using alternative details will be disqualified from participation in the Promotion.
    5. Employees of the Promoter, its agents, affiliated companies, anyone else professionally connected with the Promotion and their families cannot enter the Promotion.
    6. The Promoter (see below) will not substitute a cash alternative or any other alternative (in whole or in part) for the Prize. No element of the Prize is for resale by or refundable to the Prize winner or otherwise transferrable by the Prize winner to a third party.
    7. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries into the Promotion and refuse to award the Prize or withdraw the Prize and/or refuse further participation in the Promotion and disqualify the Entrant where there are reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a breach of these Promotion T&Cs or any instructions forming part of this Promotion’s entry requirements or otherwise where an entrant has gained an unfair advantage in participating in the Promotion or won the Prize using fraudulent means. The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decision and it will be final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into with the relevant Entrant.
    8. An Entrant who enters the Promotion on behalf of another person will be disqualified from participating in the Promotion.
    9. Entries (bulk or otherwise) made from trade, syndicates, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. If it becomes apparent that an entrant is reposting the same content multiple times or using a computer to circumvent this or any other condition by, for example, the use of “script,” brute force or any other automated means, that person’s entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
  6. Promotion Prize draw
    1. There will be one (1) Prize drawn at random within seven (7) days of the Promotion closing date set out in clause 2.1 for the chance to win the Prize.
    2. The Prize winner will be selected from all valid entries received during the Promotion Period using a secure independently verified computer program (randomiser algorithm).
    3. Within seven (7) days of the Promotion closing date set out in clause 2.1, the Prize winner will be sent an email to the email address supplied by them on entry into the Promotion from info@winwithpoppets.co.uk notifying them that they have won the Prize.
    4. Upon notifying the Prize winner that they have won the Prize, the Promoter will request the winner’s proof of identity (for example, a copy of their driver’s licence or passport etc.) for age-verification purposes as well as their county of residence for compliance reasons (see clauses 6.8 and 6.9) The winner will also be asked to send in the form of a photograph, their Promotion Product and a proof of purchase of the Promotion Product referred to in clause 3.3 above. All of these elements are a requirement for the validation and fulfilment of the prize.
    5. The Prize winner will have fourteen (14) days from the date of the notification email sent to them under clause 6.3 to respond indicating whether they wish to claim the Prize & provide the details requested in clause 6.4 If no response is received from the Prize winner by day seven (7) and day ten (10) of that fourteen (14) day period, further emails will be sent to the Prize winner asking them if they wish to claim the Prize. If the Prize winner does not respond within the fourteen (14) day period or does not supply the required information stated in clause 6.4, without any further communication to the Prize winner, the Prize will be deemed to be forfeited. The Prize draw will be re-run in accordance with clause 6.2 for another Promotion entrant to win.
    6. Once the Prize winner has provided the information requested under clauses 6.4 and to 6.5 and it has been verified by the Promoter, the Prize winner’s contact details (full name and email address provided upon entry into the Promotion) will be passed onto the Prize provider for fulfilment who will contact the Prize winner within seven (7) days of the date of verification of the Prize winner by the Promoter under this clause 6.6.
    7. Once all elements of the Prize have been booked and agreed with the Prize winner, an email will be sent by the Promoter to the Prize winner containing a link to a GDPR secure platform. The Prize winner must follow the link and provide their UK bank details within ten (10) days. Subject to the validation of their bank account details, the Prize winner will receive the $500 cash element of the Prize at least ten (10) days of the date of the start date of the holiday. The $500 will be the GBP equivalent at the time of the transfer.
    8. Subject to clause 6.9, the Prize winner’s surname and county will be available for members of the public to request from the Promoter within three (3) months of the Promotional closing date set out in clause 2.1.
    9. The Prize winner will have the right to object to the publication of their surname under clause 6.8 when contacting the Promoter to accept the Prize in accordance with the provisions of these Promotion T&Cs. In such circumstances, only the county of the winners will be available on request. For the avoidance of doubt, the Promoter will remain obliged to provide the Prize winner’s full name and county to the Advertising Standards Agency (the “ASA”), if requested by the ASA.
    10. Each Entrant who has entered the Promotion should monitor their email account including junk and spam folders from the Promotion closing date set out in clause 2.1 up to and including the end of the period referred to in clause 6.3.
    11. Each Entrant who does not win the Prize will not be notified that they have not won the Prize.
  7. Promoter’s limitation on liability
    1. The Promoter shall have no liability for expenses and costs not included in the Prize including, but not limited to, travel to and from United Kingdom airport, additional food and drink, additional trips or other activities etc. Any additional expenses and costs shall be the responsibility of the Prize winner and their guest.
    2. Other than for liability for loss, death or personal injury occurring from the negligence of the Promoter, so far as is permitted by law, the Promoter hereby excludes all liability for loss, damage, costs and expenses whether direct or indirect, howsoever caused in connection with the Promotion, the fulfilment of the Prize and/or the use of the Prize.
  8. Promotion Promoter
    1. The Promotion promoter is Valeo Confectionery Limited trading as Valeo Foods UK (company number 2025064), 38 Barnard Road, Bowthorpe, Norwich, United Kingdom, NR5 9JP (the “Promoter”).
  9. Privacy
    1. All personal data relating to an Entrant will be used solely for the administration of the Promotion and for no other purpose in accordance with the UK data protection legislation including, but not limited to, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Promoter’s privacy policy (see below), and will not be disclosed to a third party (other than to the Promoter’s Agent who is assisting with the administration of the Promotion) without the Entrant’s prior consent. An Entrant can request access to the Entrant’s personal data, or have any inaccuracies rectified, by writing to “the POPPETS® Win a Trip to Hollywood Promotion 2025”, Valeo Confectionery Limited, 38 Barnard Road, Bowthorpe, Norwich, Norfolk NR5 9JP. By participating in the Promotion, you agree to the use of your personal data as described in these Promotion T&Cs.
  10. Publicity
    1. The Prize winner may be asked by the Promoter to take part in publicity accompanying or resulting from the Promotion, which may include consenting to their images being taken and being used in publicity or promotional materials. The Prize winner will be asked to sign a form consenting to such use of their images but will be free to refuse giving their consent.
  11. Force majeure
    1. In the event of any circumstances outside of the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this Promotion or the awarding of Prizes, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the Promotion and/or these Promotion T&Cs, at any stage, but will always use all reasonable endeavours to minimalize the effect in order to avoid undue disappointment to Entrants.
    2. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Promotion T&Cs (including, but not limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, epidemic, pandemic, global or regional health crises, famine, plague, government guidance or other natural calamities and acts of God), the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations but will always use all reasonable endeavours to minimalize the effect in order to avoid undue disappointment to Entrants.
  12. Promotion terms and conditions
    1. By entering the Promotion, an Entrant is deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Promotion T&Cs and to have consented to the transfer of the Entrant’s personal data to the Promoter for the administration of the Promotion and for any other purposes to which the Entrant has consented.
    2. During the Promotion Period, the Entrant will continue to be able to access these Promotion T&Cs at www.winwithpoppets.co.uk/terms. The Entrant should retain a copy of these Promotion T&Cs for the Entrant’s reference.
    3. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these Promotion T&Cs and any other communications regarding the Promotion, including but not limited to advertising or promotional materials, these Promotion T&Cs shall prevail.
    4. If any clause in these Promotion T&Cs should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Promotion T&Cs and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
    5. These Promotion T&Cs shall be governed by the laws of the relevant country in which an Entrant resides in, and an Entrant submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of such country.
